I worked with a team of reporters to investigate poverty in Durham — both poverty’s effects and what is being done to combat poverty in the city. I researched education from early childhood to higher education, interviewing many along the way who were willing to tell me about the struggles to educate their children.

Unfortunately, the series, which was written in October and November 2014, was never edited or published because of an unforeseen leadership change. However, I’m proud of my work on the project, which represents topics I’m passionate about.
